Glass Railing

Glass Railing System are frequently used in today’s modern buildings, and in comparison to other types of railings, it helps to increase the natural light in and also adding cosmetic beauty to the look of the buidling. 

Praticaly there are two types of glasses commonly used for glass railings: Safety Tempered and Safet Laminated, and they also come with two popular thicknesses – 3/8” & ½” –

Types of Glass Railings

In fact, there are two types of glass railings Buried – using using Base Shoe – and Surface – Stand up and/or Posts – models. In the Buried model, there is a bulky looking “U” Channel that comes with different sizes instalaled on the floor, and the glass will be sitting into it and secured..

In surface models, the designated area is divided in equal or different diemsnions. Variety of Posts may be used to be isntalled initially, and the glass will be instalaled between them.

Hand rail

In most cases both styles of glass railings will also need a Hand Rail. In additon to the safety and required codes, they are recommended with two popular types: 1 – Top Hard Rail and 2 – Side Hard rail. These Hand Rails come with different shapes and color – Wood, Metal, Vinyl, Round shape or other shapes.

 

Glass Railing
